Planting Guide
- Dig hole twice as wide and equal depth as the root ball.
- Prepare backfill mix with 50% virgin soil and 50% organic product according
to recommended rates below. *
- Set plant in hole. Be sure the plant is buried no deeper than it
was in the container.
- If planting a B&B (Ball & Burlap) tree, place the burlap root ball
in the hole. Back-fill the hole approximately 3/4 full and then remove
the top twine securing the burlap. Roll burlap back to below soil (surface
level).
- Fill in around plant withy the backfill mix and make a berm of soil
to form a basin.
- Gently water in the planting.
- When backfill settles, refill with the mix, firmly tap and re-water.
- Do not allow root ball to dry out
- Do not over water.
- *1 Gallon = 1/2 cu. ft.
- *5 Gallon = 1 cu. ft.
- *15 Gallon = 2 cu. ft.
